WMC Inaugural Shoot

Wild Muse Collective is an offshoot of Nillumums, and this first event is exactly that: an experiment. A chance for a group of women to come together and create something beautiful, cinematic, a little dramatic, and completely unlike our everyday lives.

The idea is simple: women gathering to step into an imaginary world for a day. To play, create, dress up, collaborate, and be seen through a more mythic, cinematic lens.

This is not a standard photoshoot. This is a cinematic experience where you are the subject, the story, and the heroine.

The week before the shoot, we'll gather for a styling night with a professional hair and makeup consultant. Everyone brings along outfit options, accessories, fabrics, strange little treasures, whatever feels right. We'll try things on, swap pieces, share ideas, experiment with styling, and figure out what will go beautifully together.

For the styling night there will be snacks, BYO wine, and we’ll surround ourselves with dresses, shoes, jewellery, props, hats, crowns, coats, shawls, and half-formed ideas, helping each other make decisions for the shoot the following week.

Then on shoot day, we do it all again - but with direction and purpose. We’ll all do our own hair and make-up (helping each other out too of course!) and finalise styling, props and creative direction as we go. If you'd prefer to arrive with your hair and makeup professionally done already, that's absolutely an option too!

The cost covers the photographer, videographer, any permits needed, and hair/makeup consultant. The intention is to keep this experience accessible and collaborative rather than being a polished luxury production… because at the end of the day I would prefer women to do this for themselves as frequently as possible, rather than only be able to afford it once. We deserve to have as many gorgeous photos and videos of ourselves as possible!
